Key Responsibilities:

  • Sort and distribute incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and other deliveries in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Operate mailroom equipment, such as postage meters, scanners, and printers, to ensure seamless mail processing.
  • Maintain accurate records of mailroom activities, including tracking and logging shipments, to ensure transparency and accountability.
  • Prepare and package outgoing mail and parcels according to company procedures, adhering to industry standards and regulations.
  • Ensure that all mail is delivered promptly and accurately to the correct departments or individuals, fostering a culture of reliability and trust.
  • Manage and maintain mailroom supplies, including ordering and stocking as needed, to ensure a smooth and efficient mailroom operation.
  • Assist with administrative tasks as required, including data entry and filing, to support the overall efficiency of the organization.
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal staff and external vendors, demonstrating a commitment to professionalism and courtesy.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a mailroom or related environment is a plus, but not required.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Ability to lift and move packages and mail up to 50 lbs, with a focus on safety and ergonomics.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, to support administrative tasks and data entry.
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and external partners.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently, with a focus on productivity and results.
