CNA Responsibilities:
- Assist with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, and escort services
- Follow the care schedule established by the supervisor
- Provide emotional and social support to residents
- Assist dining staff as needed
- Manage laundry needs for residents
- Document daily assistance logs
- Report any resident concerns to the supervisor
- Uphold the independence and dignity of residents
- Maintain confidentiality of residents
- Familiarize yourself with emergency equipment and procedures
- Attend required training and staff meetings
- Ensure a safe working environment
- Maintain a professional demeanor with residents and staff
- Adhere to community policies and procedures
- Perform additional duties as assigned
CNA Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED; or related experience and training
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or CHHA licensure
- CPR certification
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- COVID vaccine required or valid exemption
- Capability to lift at least 50 lbs regularly
- Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking, and understanding)
- Experience with memory impairment residents may be necessary for specific assignments
