Banquet Manager Job Description

Job Summary:

The Banquet Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of banquets and events, ensuring exceptional quality and customer service. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage banquet staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations
  • Coordinate event setup, food presentation, and cleanup
  • Ensure timely execution of events and quality service
  • Process billing information and payroll for each event
  • Maintain inventory of supplies and linens
  • Assist servers and captains with event execution

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience in food and beverage
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, and guest relations
  • Prior experience ensuring safe work environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous banquet supervisory experience
  • Strong leadership skills and proven teamwork
  • Projects professional image that inspires trust and confidence

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Able to bend, stretch, and twist
  • Able to stand for long periods of time
