Job Summary

We are seeking a talented Water Resources Engineer to join our team and work on Aviation and Transportation projects. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for performing hydraulic calculations, analyzing stormwater management facilities, and designing erosion control systems for Aviation projects, as well as Transportation-related projects with FDOT and other state transportation agencies.

Responsibilities
  • Perform hydraulic calculations for closed drainage networks and open channel design
  • Analyze stormwater management facilities and design erosion control systems
  • Work with project teams to plan and organize workload, demonstrate success working with a team of professionals, and commit to quality
  • Prepare project design drawings within AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation/OpenRoads
  • Develop project-specific detail drawings and assist with technical specifications, cost estimates, reports, schedules, and other related tasks
  • Learn and adhere to client-specific standards, coordinate with team members and client representatives, and perform periodic travel to project sites for field investigation and/or construction support
Qualifications
  • 0-2 years' experience considered; 2-5 years' relevant experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering from an ABET-accredited university
  • Experience with transportation, aviation, and land development/site design projects preferred
  • Familiarity with software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, OpenRoads, HEC-RAS, ICPR, HY8, etc. is preferred
