We are seeking a talented individual to join our faculty in the Department of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering at Old Dominion University. As a tenure track faculty member, you will have the opportunity to develop your research program, teach courses, and participate in departmental and university service obligations.
Job SummaryThis is a tenure track or tenured faculty position in biomechanics, which includes research, teaching, and service responsibilities.
Responsibilities- Conduct Research: Develop an externally funded research program with a focus on computational or experimental biomechanics.
- Teach Courses: Teach biomechanics and other courses in mechanical engineering and/or biomedical engineering.
- Participate in Service: Participate in departmental and university service obligations.
- Qualifications: A Ph.D. in mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Postdoctoral research experience and teaching experience as a teaching assistant or course instructor are desirable.
