Patent Prosecution Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Patent Prosecution Specialist to join our team at Jobot. As a key member of our intellectual property law firm, you will play a crucial role in supporting our innovative clients and attorney team throughout the patent application process.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and file domestic and international patent applications
  • Conduct preliminary patent searches and assist with prior art analysis
  • Draft and proofread patent-related documents, including Information Disclosure Statements (IDS)
  • Manage and update patent dockets, ensuring adherence to critical deadlines
  • Coordinate with foreign associates for international patent filings
  • Assist in preparing USPTO office action responses
  • Generate client reports and maintain accurate billing records
Requirements:
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proactive approach to learning new technologies and legal procedures
Qualifications:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on patent prosecution experience
  • Paralegal certification is a plus
