Wastewater Technician

We are seeking a skilled Pump Technician to join our team at Wind River Environmental LLC. This is a full-time opportunity based in Montpelier, Vermont.

This position involves operating a service truck and driving to various locations to pump septic tanks. As a Pump Technician, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while ensuring the efficient operation of our services.

• Safety First: Follow safety rules and exercise safe work practices in accordance with WRE and DOT requirements.
• Pre-Job Preparation: Prepare the service truck for each job by checking fluids, tires, and supplies, and following daily pre-trip and post-trip maintenance.
• Customer Interaction: Provide excellent customer service when on-site to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Trouble-Shooting: Identify and address any issues with septic systems, including defective components, adverse buildup, or hazards, and recommend maintenance or service to customers.
• Administrative Tasks: Complete and submit quotes and service paperwork in a timely manner, if required, and respond to emergency calls promptly.

• You will be exposed to outdoor weather conditions and non-hazardous fumes.
• Must be comfortable working independently.
• Interaction with customers is a key aspect of this role.

• A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• A Class A or B CDL with the ability and willingness to obtain a tanker endorsement, if requested.
• No restrictions, including the ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle.
• At least 21 years old.
• At least one year of professional commercial driving experience (post-school).
• The ability to pass a DOT drug screen, medical certification, physical exam, and road exams.
• Ability to operate in a drug-free workplace.
• Must meet physical demands evaluation.
• A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• A High-School Diploma.
