Job Title: Nuclear Criticality Safety Coordinator

The Nuclear Criticality Safety (NCS) Engineering organization's NCS Coordinator plays a crucial role in assisting NCS engineers with tasks within the NCS Program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Management of NCS deliverables through the change control process
  • Assisting in routing deliverables
  • Assisting in coordination of NCS deliverables
  • Reviewing databases and interpreting data
  • Similar specific NCS-related activities as assigned
What You'll Do:

As a Nuclear Criticality Safety Coordinator, you will be responsible for supporting the NCS Program by managing deliverables, assisting in routing and coordination, and reviewing databases and interpreting data. You will work closely with NCS engineers to ensure the successful execution of the program.

Minimum Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or physical science discipline with a 3.0/4.0 cumulative GPA
  • OR Master's degree in engineering or physical science discipline with a 3.3/4.0 cumulative GPA
  • OR PhD in engineering or physical science discipline with a 3.5 cumulative GPA

Additional requirements include meeting the requirements of DOE O and having a minimum of 2 years of job-related experience and at least 1 year of nuclear experience.

Preferred Job Requirements:
  • Familiarity with Y-12 Engineering Procedures and Policies
  • Ability to follow procedures and work within a rigorous work process
  • Capable of analyzing large sets of data and creating metrics reports using Microsoft Excel or Access
  • Ability to work in a project team environment and communicate well with other disciplines, customers, and stakeholders
