About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Clinician to join our team as a Child Well-Being Professional. This role will involve working with children and families in a DHS facility, providing behavioral health screenings and services, and supporting agents and staff in providing child-focused, trauma-informed services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide behavioral health screenings and services to children in a DHS facility
  • Support agents and staff in providing child-focused, trauma-informed services
  • Escalate identified psychosocial needs and provide direct care to children in crisis
  • Coordinate seamless referral of children to community behavioral or physical health providers, if necessary
  • Assist in the coordination of care for children who have special needs or ongoing physical, mental, or behavioral health concerns
  • Serve as a daily resource, working alongside DHS staff to inform and coordinate decision making
  • Facilitate continuity of care as children are transferred
  • Assist in the documentation and information transfer for individual cases
  • Provide necessary information regarding child wellbeing during meetings at the facility level
  • Conduct environmental scans of the facilities to recommend and implement appropriate and operationally feasible measures to create a child-friendly environment
Requirements
  • Master's degree in social work or an equivalent degree in Psychology, Sociology, or other relevant Behavioral Science
  • Independent and unrestricted licensure (LICSW, LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LP, or equivalent) in social work, counseling, or related field required
  • 2 or more years of demonstrated experience post-full licensure working with children, to include the direct provision of services, evaluations, and crisis intervention
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish, and/or Haitian Creole, and/or French, and/or Portuguese required
  • Ability to handle crisis intervention, conflict, confrontation, or other complex situations with compassion and decisiveness
  • Have experience working in a multidisciplinary team-based environment
  • Ability to work independently and cross-functionally to deliver the highest quality of work under extreme pressure and in a fast-paced environment
Work Environment

This role will be based onsite at assigned CBP processing centers, with availability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends. Travel may be required within the state of licensure.

Security Clearance/Background Check Requirements
