Position Overview

As a vital member of our healthcare team at Warbird Consulting Partners, the Registered Nurse in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) plays a crucial role in ensuring optimal patient recovery following surgical procedures.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Employ the nursing process to continuously assess patient needs during their recovery phase in the PACU.
  • Accurately document and evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions while maintaining a safe care environment.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to guarantee seamless continuity of patient care.
  • Deliver comprehensive post-operative education to patients, ensuring a sterile and secure surgical environment, while closely monitoring their physical and emotional well-being throughout the recovery process.
  • Observe patients for any changes in condition, particularly signs of respiratory distress, and implement appropriate interventions as necessary.

Qualifications:Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Completion of an accredited registered nursing program.
  • A minimum of 2 years of recent experience in ICU, Critical Care, or PACU settings.
  • Possession of a valid California RN state license.
  • Current BLS Certification.
  • ACLS certification to be obtained within 6 months of employment or transfer into the role.
  • PALS certification to be acquired within 6 months of employment or transfer into the role.
  • Willingness to participate in On-Call duties during weekdays and availability for some weekends and holidays.
