Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Front Desk Agent to join our team at Westgate Resorts. As a key member of our front office team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guest Check-In/Check-Out: Greet guests warmly upon arrival, facilitate smooth check-in procedures, and ensure accurate information is collected.
  • Room Assignment and Key Issuance: Efficiently register guests, assign suitable rooms, and provide necessary instructions to the guest.
  • Telephone and Email Communications: Manage telephone communications by transmitting and receiving messages professionally, and respond to guest inquiries in a timely and courteous manner.
  • Guest Services: Offer assistance with inquiries regarding hotel amenities, local attractions, and travel guidance, and provide recommendations to enhance the guest's stay.
  • Accounting and Billing: Maintain up-to-date records of room availability and guest accounts, handle billing procedures, and collect payments in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Reservations and Confirmations: Take reservations and confirm bookings promptly and accurately, and record and post charges to guest ledgers.
  • Guest Satisfaction: Conduct nightly bucket checks to ensure guest satisfaction and comfort, and demonstrate active listening skills to provide effective solutions to guests' concerns and issues.

Requirements

  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Possess strong verbal and written communication skills, and be able to effectively interact with guests, colleagues, and management.
  • Attention to Detail: Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail, and be able to accurately process guest information and transactions.
  • Problem-Solving and Conflict Resolution: Possess strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, and be able to effectively handle guest complaints and concerns.
  • Teamwork and Adaptability: Be able to work effectively in a team environment, and be adaptable to changing situations and priorities.
