Source Inspector

At Connecticut Spring And Stamping Corporation, we are seeking a highly skilled Source Inspector to join our team. As a Source Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our products by verifying all necessary documentation and inspecting parts for defects.

• Verify that all necessary documentation is correct and prepared for shipment.
• Work with outside Source inspectors as needed to meet customer requirements.
• Inspect visually for obvious defects and perform over-inspection to determine accuracy of Final Inspection results.
• Notify supervisor/leader when inspection data exceeds acceptable limits or when incidents of poor quality are noted.
• Record quality results on Aerospace required inspection forms.
• Make recommendations on disposition of questionable product to supervisor/leader.
• Hold DSQR source inspection certification as required (e.g. Arkwin, Boeing, Collins/Hamilton, GEAE, Lockheed Martin, Parker Stratoflex, Parker CSD, PWA, PW Power Systems, Raytheon, Sikorsky, Triumph).
• Knowledge of Aerospace Requirements required (e.g. AS9100, AS9102).
• Review PO and Sales orders for customer specs and requirements and provide recommendations to customer service and contract review team.

• High school or technical school education, or equivalent, with mathematics emphasis.
• Experience with operating gauges and testing equipment.
• Analytical capabilities to interpret detailed and complex drawings.

• Visual ability (corrected) to read directions and prints and to inspect parts closely to ensure that they meet specifications.
• Manual dexterity sufficient to operate machinery for precision work.
• Physical ability to do work requiring frequent stooping and bending.
• Ability to lift up to 35lbs unassisted.
