Key Responsibilities:
Conduct civil engineering tasks related to water and wastewater treatment facilities and conveyance infrastructure, focusing on site design elements such as site layout, yard piping, roadways, paving and grading, and stormwater management.
Engage in engineering planning and design projects, performing conceptual and preliminary design activities, including site assessments, overseeing fieldwork, alternatives analysis, and report generation.
Develop civil engineering plans and specifications.
Prepare cost estimates for various water and wastewater initiatives.
Draft technical memoranda, reports, and electronic deliverables.
Review contractor submissions for compliance with contract plans and specifications, and assess requests for information.
Participate in field activities such as pilot testing.
Conduct permitting and alternatives analysis.
Assist project managers with permitting submissions for treatment facilities and infrastructure projects, including coordination with various governmental bodies.
Engage in field activities and site reconnaissance.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
6 to 12 years of relevant experience in civil engineering.
Registration as a Professional Engineer.
Application of engineering principles, including critical thinking, analysis, and innovative techniques.
Familiarity with local utility codes and the utility permitting process, with the ability to review plans and specifications against local regulations.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Proficient in MS Word and Excel.
Highly motivated, articulate, and self-driven.

Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D for developing engineering drawings.
Familiarity with Geographical Information Systems (GIS).
