Speech Language Pathologist Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in the Longview, WA area. The successful candidate will assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders, create individualized treatment plans, and provide education and training to families and caregivers.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and diagnoses of speech, language, and communication disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address each patient's unique needs.
  • Educate patients and their families about speech disorders, their causes, and effective management techniques.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress.
  • Provide direct therapy to students in individual or group settings.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of patient conditions, treatment plans, therapy sessions, and progress.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations for student support.
  • Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in speech-language pathology.
  • Supervise and provide guidance to speech therapy assistants as needed.
  • Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in the field.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 1+ years speech therapy experience required.
  • Previous experience in a speech-language pathology setting.
  • Experience working in a school setting as an SLP is preferred.
  • Must have a master's degree in Speech Language Pathology.
  • Full accreditation (CCC) is preferred.
  • Must be in at least the Clinical Fellowship Year.
