Position Overview

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost analysis, ensuring accurate reporting and effective financial decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Ensure the accuracy of manufacturing costs and cost of goods sold.
  • Conduct variance analysis on manufacturing costs, gross margins, and inventory levels, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Regularly update standard costing models by evaluating labor and overhead expenses to ensure alignment with actual production costs.
  • Review and verify bills of materials and labor routings for costing precision.
  • Calculate costs for new and proposed products in collaboration with R&D teams.
  • Maintain relevant ERP cost system modules.
  • Support plant management in cost-saving initiatives and profit enhancement programs, establishing models for tracking savings.
  • Share best practices with team members and provide backup support as needed.
  • Collect cost data to assist in developing forecasts and budgets.
  • Lead financial operations in inventory management by enhancing control policies, procedures, and systems.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive weekly reporting framework that includes inventory trends, absorption analysis, and productivity metrics.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Cost Accountant, Cost Analyst, or similar role, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
  • A solid understanding of bills of materials, manufacturing routers, and process improvement concepts.
  • Knowledge of cost accounting principles and the ability to evaluate and enhance financial and operational controls.
  • Professionalism and the ability to perform well under pressure, both independently and in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with ERP systems.
