Nuclear Medicine Technologist Job Summary

Adventist Health is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team in Whittier, California. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will play a critical role in administering radiopharmaceuticals and radiation to detect and treat diseases. Your expertise will be essential in performing screening procedures, coordinating patient flow, and maintaining procedure quality control.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer radiopharmaceuticals and radiation for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes
  • Perform screening procedures for diagnostic interpretation
  • Coordinate patient flow and maintain procedure quality control
  • Prepare and administer radioactive isotopes for therapeutic and diagnostic studies
  • Measure and calculate doses of radioactive materials
Requirements:
  • Diploma or certificate from an accredited school of Nuclear Medicine
  • State Nuclear Medicine License (required in CA and HI)
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT) in Nuclear Medicine or Certified by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
  • Venipuncture certification (required in CA and HI)
