About the Role:

As a General Merchandise and Food Sales Team Member at Target, you will be part of a dynamic team that leads inbound, outbound, replenishment, inventory accuracy, presentation, pricing, and promotional signing processes for all General Merchandise (GM) areas of the store.

This role is responsible for ensuring product is set, in-stock, accurately priced, and signed on the sales floor. You will also be responsible for leading Food & Beverage and Food Service, providing a fresh and food-safe experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Observe and quickly understand whether a guest needs assistance or wants to interact.
  • Thank the guest in a genuine way and let them know we're happy they chose to shop at Target.
  • Be knowledgeable of GM areas to ensure sales floor is zoned, in stock, and accurately signed and priced for guests.
  • Execute inbound, replenishment, backroom, and signing processes for GM areas.
  • Execute processes including pricing, presentation sets, and inventory accuracy as directed by your leader for all areas.
  • Understand how operational procedures, like planogram (POG) ties, product capacities, and salesfloor quantities impact shortage, profitability, in-store replenishment, and inventory accuracy.
  • Operate power equipment only if certified.
  • Comply with all safety policies and best practices.
  • Support guest services such as back-up cashier, and digital fulfillment processes and maintain compliance culture while executing those duties, such as federal, state, and local adult beverage laws.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Able to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed.
  • Able to accurately handle cash register operations as needed.
  • A flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, with reliable and prompt attendance necessary.
  • Able to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift (shift length may vary).
