Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate RN Charge Nurse to join our team at CHSGa. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and leadership to our nursing staff.

Responsibilities
  • Assess and document patient condition
  • Operate oxygen equipment, suction machines, and manual respirators
  • Use electronic thermometers, glucose monitoring devices, and other medical equipment
  • Deliver medications, order stock drugs, and administer insulin
  • Use and deliver PRN medications, topical treatments, and narcotic medications
  • Apply sterile dressings, operate pressure reduction surfaces, and use oral airways
  • Knowledge of isolation procedures, personal protective equipment, and seizure precautions
  • Collect lab specimens, interpret results, and implement IVs
  • Admit, discharge, and transfer patients as requested
  • Document and bill supplies used, send patients to the hospital as necessary, and provide oversight to unlicensed nursing personnel
Requirements
  • Nursing degree from an accredited college or university
  • Active RN license to practice in the State of Georgia
  • Proficient in using a computer, especially Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent organizational and prioritizing skills
  • Effective and professional verbal and written communication skills
