Job Summary

The Rugby Grill Host is responsible for providing exceptional guest service, maintaining the flow of guests dining in the restaurant. This is a FULL-TIME position.

Key Responsibilities:

Comprehend the full detailed menu and wine pairings to answer questions regarding substitutions, omissions, and food allergies, and communicate this information to guests.

Communicate all special events and promotions in the restaurant to guests.

Receive all incoming telephone calls to the restaurant.

Adhere to large party policies described in the Rugby Policy guide.

Perform other reasonably related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and other management as required.

Maintain the station for neatness, cleanliness, proper setup, and backup supplies.

Document daily logs detailing sales, guest interactions, and any guest complaints.

Notify management of all problems, complaints, and compliments.

Requirements

Previous experience as a host/hostess in a fine dining restaurant preferred.

Strong customer service background desired.

Problem-solving skills essential.

Ability to communicate via telephone, email, and in person required.
