We are seeking an exceptional Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon to join our team at West Virginia University Health System. As a Medical Director of Orthopedic Trauma Service, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, teaching medical students, residents, and fellows, and developing the orthopedic trauma service.
Key Responsibilities- Practice in the areas of Orthopedics, providing excellent patient care
- Teach medical students, residents, and fellows
- Develop and grow the orthopedic trauma service
- MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent
- State medical license and DEA registration
- Completed Orthopedics residency program and Trauma fellowship program
- Board certified/eligible in Orthopedics
- Guaranteed base salary + incentive
- Sign on/loan repayment/relocation
- Faculty appointment with WVU
- Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits package
- 24 vacation days, 7 holidays, and 18 days sick leave
- CME allowance with paid CME days
- $500,000 in life insurance coverage
- 401a retirement with percentage of base salary up to IRS max
- 403b and 457b retirement options
- Malpractice - occurrence based with sovereign immunity
