Key Responsibilities

The primary duty of the estimator is to generate precise construction estimates, particularly for projects related to environmental and fuel facilities. Responsibilities include:

  • Developing comprehensive and accurate estimates for environmental and fuel facility projects.
  • Creating detailed take-offs for all construction phases, incorporating material costs and labor analysis.
  • Gathering pricing information from vendors and subcontractors for necessary materials, equipment, and services.
  • Conducting site assessments and participating in pre-bid meetings to evaluate site conditions and logistics.
  • Ensuring proposal documentation is thorough, consistent, and professionally written.
  • Facilitating estimating transfer meetings with the construction team for all awarded projects.
  • Engaging with clients, customers, and governmental representatives to discuss project-related matters.
Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates should possess:

  • A minimum of three years of estimating experience in construction, environmental, or related fields.
  • The capability to manage and produce estimates for projects valued between $25,000 and $5,000,000.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly advanced Excel skills.
  • Familiarity with Cost Estimating Software is advantageous.
  • The ability to interpret plans and other project documentation.
