You will play a crucial role in providing expert evaluation, prescription, and monitoring of psychotropic medications to our diverse patient population.

Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and provide medication treatment for people with psychiatric disorders, substance use disorders, and medical problems.
  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments for patients from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Diagnose mental health disorders and develop personalized treatment plans tailored to individual needs.
  • Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, ensuring patient understanding and compliance.
  • Educate patients and families about mental health disorders, treatment options.
  • Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, therapists, and interpreters, to ensure holistic patient care.
  • Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and understanding in all interactions, respecting patients' beliefs and traditions.
  • Maintain detailed and culturally sensitive patient records, adhering to all privacy and confidentiality regulations.
  • Prepare reports as required, ensuring accurate and timely submission.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and clinic policies in all documentation and reporting activities.
Requirements:
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in psychiatric nursing from an accredited institution.
  • Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry.
  • Knowledgeable about adult, adolescent, and child psychiatric disorders, and advanced principles of abnormal psychology.
  • Experience working with diverse and underserved populations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on cultural competency.
  • Knowledge of community resources and social services to support patients' holistic well-being.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, culturally competent mental health care to individuals and families in the community.
  • Ability to clearly summarize pertinent clinical information via written correspondence and medical record documentation.
  • Obtain computer skills using Microsoft Office products including Outlook.
