Job Title: Credit Specialist

Paladin Consulting is seeking a skilled Credit Specialist to work onsite at our client's office in Rochester, NY. As a valued member of our team, you will have the opportunity to contribute, learn, and advance your career in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Mitigate credit risk exposure by conducting thorough reviews of incoming clients utilizing payroll services.
  • Provide exceptional client service and technical product support to internal and external partners.
  • Ensure timely and accurate problem resolution while minimizing risks.
  • Review and approve or deny credit authorizations, payments, or termination decisions up to $100,000 to mitigate potential risk and ensure the best financial decision.
  • Prepare recommendations to management on items exceeding $100,000.
  • Conduct credit reviews on new Payroll clients.
  • Review and interpret credit reports (Equifax, Experian) and financial trade and public record data as necessary to assist in the credit decision-making process.
  • Identify and research potentially fraudulent clients and escalate all positive matches to a supervisor and the fraud investigations group.
  • Conduct daily reviews of incoming clients to determine potential matches to previous clients that have been terminated for non-payment of payroll or invoice amounts.
  • Remove clients from services when required.
  • Diffuse difficult client concerns and notify management of critical situations to ensure the best solution is implemented for the clients.
  • Research and resolve product and service issues from the field and our clients and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial transactions input into the product systems.
  • Participate in product-related projects or training sessions to ensure area of responsibility is represented.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of all product offerings, regulatory changes, policy changes, and industry developments.
