Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and organized Intellectual Property Billing Specialist to join our team at Booth Udall Fuller, PLC. As an Intellectual Property Billing Specialist, you will be responsible for performing client billing and collection activities, preparing and processing timely and high-quality invoices, and monitoring and following up on outstanding receivables.
Responsibilities:
- Client Billing and Collection: Perform client billing and collection activities for assigned clients in a timely manner.
- Monthly Billing Meetings: Meet with the Finance Director, Finance Assistant, and/or partners to discuss monthly billing.
- Proforma Generation: Generate Proformas for Finance Director to review.
- Time Entry Review: Review Proformas and ensure time entries are in accordance with client policies.
- Invoice Editing: Edit draft invoices based on Finance Director's/Partners mark-up, in accordance with firm policies/procedures.
- Bill Tracking: Track status of bills submitted, identify issues, and work to address these issues as they arise.
- Communication: Communicate situations as they arise that may require follow-up.
Requirements:
- Experience: 2+ years' billing/accounting experience in a law firm or medical office.
- Technical Skills: MS Office with emphasis on Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.
- Soft Skills: Ability to multitask and prioritize. Detail-oriented and conscientious. Interpersonal skills to work effectively within a team environment, as well as independently. Ability to adapt well to new assignments and deadlines.
