Thompson First Group is actively seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to support our client in a manufacturing environment. We invite candidates with experience in mechanical maintenance within industrial operations to consider this opportunity.
Work ScheduleWe offer two distinct 2nd Shift options:
- Sunday - Thursday: 11 pm to 7 am (five 8-hour shifts)
- Sunday: 6 pm to 4 am, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: 2 pm to 12 am (four 10-hour shifts)
- Address written work orders and respond to urgent maintenance requests.
- Diagnose issues in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems utilizing schematics and diagnostic tools.
- Perform repairs on machinery, fixtures, systems, conveyors, and various equipment within the facility.
- Modify, lubricate, and operate equipment as necessary.
- Identify and troubleshoot operational problems with machinery, collaborating with maintenance personnel and supervisors to find solutions.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant SQF/HACCP/Quality policies and accurately complete required documentation.
- Engage in Continuous Improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance.
- Assist in the training of new team members as required.
- Demonstrated experience with electrical systems, plumbing, welding, and machinery repair is essential.
- Familiarity with a dairy manufacturing setting is advantageous.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proven track record of reliability and punctuality.
- Ability to adapt and respond to unexpected situations, such as equipment breakdowns.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to quality.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Ability to lift over 50 lbs as needed for the role.
- Capability to perform physical tasks for extended periods, including standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling, and twisting.
- Willingness to work at heights using stairs, ladders, or personnel lifts.
