Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in the Non-Invasive Cardiology department at Northwestern Memorial Healthcare. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Collect and analyze patient data to identify expected outcomes and develop individualized plans of care.
  • Direct care and determine the appropriate utilization of any assistant involved in providing direct patient care.
  • Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and ancillary staff to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Evaluate and document patient responses to nursing interventions in the health record and properly individualize the plan of care based on the evaluation of findings.
  • Utilize the best available evidence, including research findings, to guide practice decisions.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree required; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) acceptable with commitment to obtain a BSN from an accredited program within three years of first day of employment in clinical nurse role.
  • Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license required.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills required.
  • Ability to collaborate with others and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in specific clinical area preferred.
  • Additional certifications such as ACLS, PALS/ENPC, and TNCC preferred.
