Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced ICU Nurse Specialist to join our team at Geneva General Hospital. As a critical care registered nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill patients in the ICU.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU, including administering medications and treatments, and monitoring patient vital signs.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, identify potential complications, and take appropriate action to prevent or manage them.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in code blue and other critical care situations, providing life-saving interventions as needed.
  • Document patient care and progress accurately and thoroughly, using electronic medical records.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical guidelines, research, and best practices in critical care nursing.
Requirements
  • Current RN licensure in good standing.
  • Minimum one year of ICU experience, with a strong focus on critical care nursing.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on patient-centered care.
