Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement an ERM strategy that aligns with our business objectives and risk appetite.
  • Direct and manage the Internal Audit function, including planning, executing, and reporting on audits.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to identify and mitigate risks, and to develop and implement controls to mitigate those risks.
  • Manage and oversee the Corporate Compliance Program, including oversight of privacy, corporate policies, and regulatory compliance matters.
  • Establish and maintain a continuing education program for management and staff.
  • Lead and manage a team of direct and indirect reports, with performance management and development responsibilities.
  • Manage department budget and resources responsibly.
  • Provide innovative and strategic leadership to multiple departments and gain cross-functional support for major projects, improvements, or changes.
Requirements
  • B.A. or B.S. degree or equivalent work experience (in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent qualified discipline).
  • 8 years of related work experience at the corporate or organization level; 8 years managing an internal audit department and employee management is required.
  • Insurance and financial services experience is strongly preferred.
  • Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is strongly preferred.
  • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) is strongly preferred.
  • Certification in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA) is strongly preferred.
