Job Summary:

The Production Supervisor will be responsible for directing assigned production resources to ensure optimal manufacturing performance. This includes minimizing costs, achieving high levels of quality, and meeting delivery targets in accordance with the approved business plan.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage hourly direct labor team members in assigned manufacturing areas and shifts.
  • Effectively manage cross-functional relationships with other departments to support the use of manpower, materials, and equipment.
  • Implement productivity improvement initiatives.
Core Competencies:
  • Customer Focus: Dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers.
  • Integrity and Trust: Direct, truthful, and able to present the unvarnished truth in an appropriate and helpful manner.
  • Planning: Sets objectives and goals, breaks down work into process steps, develops schedules and action plans, and measures performance against goals.
  • Drive for Results: Exceeds goals consistently and is one of the top performers, with a strong bottom-line orientation.

Requirements:
  • 3-5 years' experience in a team-based manufacturing environment.
  • Strong MS Office and systems background.
  • Previous experience supervising in a union labor environment is preferred.
  • AS degree - BS degree in manufacturing or engineering or related discipline is preferred, with a strong foundation in business administration.
