Role Responsibilities:

As a Cook, you will be tasked with preparing meals that meet specific dietary needs while adhering to food safety standards and community protocols under the supervision of the Food Service Director. You will also ensure compliance with health, sanitation, and infection control policies, maintaining the community's Dietary Policies and Procedures.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Proficient in English with the ability to follow detailed instructions
  • Strong interpersonal skills and meticulous attention to detail
  • Able to work effectively with colleagues and supervisors
  • Knowledge of safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Flexibility in work hours and schedules
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe workplace

Experience:

  • Experience in long-term care settings is preferred but not essential

Work Schedule and Compensation:

  • Flexible Full-Time and Part-Time roles available
  • Shifts may vary, with Full-Time positions including alternate weekends
  • Hourly wage between $15.50 and $17.50
  • Sign-on bonus of $5,000, distributed over the initial months of employment
