As a Home Health Occupational Therapist, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing occupational therapy to patients unable to perform daily tasks due to an illness or injury
  • Working as part of a home health team focused on the patient's plan of care and personal goals
  • Assessing patient deficits, establishing therapy goals, and documenting progress
  • Assisting patients with exercises to improve fine motor skills and coordination
  • Suggesting adaptive equipment to offer added support
  • Assessing fall risks and introducing strategies to improve home safety
  • Educating patients and families on the plan of care, exercises, goals, and self-care

Requirements for this role include:

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Program and active OT license in [MI]
  • Minimum of [1] years of occupational therapy experience, ideally in home healthcare
  • CPR certification
  • Knowledge of state and federal home health regulations
  • Good clinical judgment, strong interpersonal skills, resourcefulness, and compassion
