Position Overview: Discover offers an exceptional work environment and a rewarding employee experience.
We are currently seeking candidates for various shifts. Our available schedules include start times within the following hours:
• 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM CST
• 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM CST
Note: Workdays are Monday through Friday, with weekend shifts as assigned.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle routine customer service inquiries and resolve issues via telephone, digital, or chat channels, utilizing effective communication and problem-solving skills. These inquiries typically follow established protocols and procedures.
- Navigate a computerized system to respond to and troubleshoot customer questions.
- Exhibit strong verbal communication and problem-solving abilities, while managing multiple tasks as necessary.
- Proactively identify and escalate risks and customer-impacting issues to management.
How You Will Contribute
- Assist over 100 customers daily by engaging energetically in a fast-paced call environment through phone, online, or chat.
- Approach customer inquiries regarding reward redemptions, updates to customer information, card activations, payment processing, lost or stolen card issues, and credit line adjustments with empathy.
- Utilize various systems to respond to, troubleshoot, and document customer inquiries.
- Employ standard screens, scripts, and procedures to ensure consistent service delivery.
- Enhance the Discover Financial brand by providing exceptional care and innovative solutions.
Qualifications Required
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience in a call center or customer service role.
- High School Diploma or GED.
Compensation and Benefits
The base salary for this role typically ranges from $18.00 to $21.75, with additional incentives available as part of a competitive compensation package. Various factors, including geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level, may influence the pay for this position.
