Join Texas Health Resources as a Registered Nurse in our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and be part of a team that provides exceptional care to critically ill newborns and their families.
About the Role:We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our NICU team. As a Registered Nurse in our NICU, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care to critically ill newborns, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans, and providing education and support to families.
Responsibilities:- Deliver high-quality patient care to critically ill newborns, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
- Provide education and support to families, including teaching them about their baby's condition, treatment options, and self-care techniques.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment by promoting open communication, teamwork, and a culture of excellence.
- Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred.
- Current RN licensure upon hire.
- BCLS Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly.
- NRP - Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 Days of hire.
- STABLE Program within 6 Months of hire.
- NRPA-Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 Days of hire.
- CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually within 90 days of hire.
- 1-year experience as a clinical nurse.
- At least 1 year of NICU experience preferred.
