Job Summary

MedStar Health is seeking a Patient Experience Coordinator to enhance the patient experience at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating a positive relationship with each patient and acting as an ambassador across departments to meet patient needs and departmental goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proactive Patient Engagement: Perform daily non-clinical rounding to mitigate issues that can impact the patient experience, ensuring a successful and positive outcome.
  • Follow-up and Documentation: Ensure all necessary follow-up/action items are completed, reported, and documented to close the loop.
  • Team Integration: Seek to integrate into assigned departments and track patient/family service concerns observed or discovered during rounds.
  • Process Improvement: Identify system/process-related opportunities and work collaboratively with involved parties to resolve.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate and interact with patients, families, associates, and others in a compassionate, empathetic, courteous, and respectful manner.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Use available data sources to identify opportunities for improvement in assigned departments and enhance the patient/family experience.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality, healthcare, communications, or performance improvement required.
  • 1-2 years of relevant work experience required.

This position has a hiring range of $48,059.20 to $80,059.20.
