Overview

Dedicated to advancing the mission of Northern Arizona Healthcare, this Registered Nurse position is pivotal in orchestrating patient care through direct involvement, education, and discharge planning for patients and their families. Registered Nurses are responsible for performing assessments, diagnosing nursing challenges, identifying desired outcomes, and planning, executing, and evaluating the delivery of care. This role also encompasses providing guidance to support staff, serving as a team leader, mentor, and integral member of the healthcare team, while upholding professional standards and ethical practices.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Care
- Assess patients' needs and conditions by gathering pertinent health information.
- Formulate personalized care plans and execute them effectively.
- Track patient progress and modify care plans as needed.
- Ensure high-quality and safe patient care, maintaining confidentiality and treating all individuals with respect and dignity.
- Adhere to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and assist in various medical procedures.

Education
- Foster a learning environment grounded in evidence-based practices and research.
- Emphasize personal growth, engage with colleagues and students in a professional manner, and participate in educational initiatives.
- Provide mentorship and educational support to peers and students.

Compliance and Safety
- Comply with regulatory and organizational standards, hospital policies, and safety measures.
- Stay updated and adhere to relevant regulations and company policies.
- Maintain current certifications and licenses.
- Complete mandatory training and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Report safety incidents promptly to ensure a secure work environment.

Qualifications

Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing is required.
- New hires are expected to enroll in a BSN program within one year and complete it within five years.

Certification and Licensure
- An active, unrestricted Arizona RN License or a valid compact license is required.
- BLS (American Heart Association) certification is mandatory.

Experience
- Prior experience in a circulating role is essential.

Call Availability: Must be capable of responding within 20 minutes.
