The Financial Wealth Consultant will play a crucial role in executing MAI's comprehensive strategy for engaging with clients through our Advisor Referral Program (ARP). This professional will oversee, or assist in overseeing, client relationships encompassing investment management, financial planning, and effective client communication. Additionally, they will cultivate referrals from our partner organizations and enhance business growth for MAI.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Proactively engage with clients and their families to foster strong relationships.
- Develop in-depth knowledge of products and excel in client relationship management.
- Continuously monitor and adjust client portfolios to comply with Investment Policy Statement (IPS) guidelines.
- Generate business outcomes through collaboration with referral partners, Centers of Influence (COIs), and existing client relationships.
- Acquire, nurture, and retain assets within the current client portfolio.
- Facilitate introductions to team members or external professionals for complex needs, including estate, tax, and insurance considerations.
- Participate in discussions within the Investment and Alternative Investment groups to remain informed about company-wide strategies and opportunities.
- Generate referrals through our partner firms.
- Maintain accurate data in eMoney, CRM, and other internal systems.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in business or a related discipline.
- 5-7 years of experience in a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA), Investment Management Firm, or other financial services settings.
- Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation is mandatory.
- CFA or CPA credentials are advantageous.
- Additional Wealth Management certifications, designations, or licenses are beneficial.
- Proficient in developing business plans and executing strategies to achieve objectives.
- Experience with E-Money and other financial planning tools is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
