Director of Student Life and Engagement

Touro University New York seeks a highly skilled and experienced professional to serve as the Director of Student Life and Engagement. This key leadership position is responsible for providing strategic direction and oversight for a broad range of student services and programs that promote student development, engagement, and success.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee and administer all testing services, ensuring compliance with governing regulations.
- Develop and implement programs that promote student engagement, leadership, and development, fostering a vibrant campus life.
- Provide oversight for student organizations, activities, and events, ensuring they contribute to a supportive and inclusive campus environment.
- Plan and coordinate Student Orientation events, welcoming new students to the university community.
- Work with the Student Advocate and University Ombudsman to address student concerns and grievances, resolving issues in a fair and timely manner.
- Administer University policies regarding Student Code of Conduct and Academic Integrity, preparing reports that document compliance.
- Oversee the administration of the NYSCAS Wellness Center and Office of Disabilities, ensuring seamless support services for students.
- Promote a culture of inclusivity and support for a diverse student body, fostering a sense of belonging among all students.
- Prepare reports and presentations for senior leadership and stakeholders, providing critical insights into student life and engagement.
- A Master's degree in Higher Education Administration, Student Affairs, Counseling, or a related field is required; a Doctorate is preferred.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in student affairs or related areas in a higher education setting.
- Demonstrated experience in leadership, staff supervision, and budget management.
- Strong understanding of student development theories and best practices in student affairs.
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse student population.
- Experience in crisis management and student support services.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
- Strong customer service and organizational skills.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Booking.
- Proficiency in Canvas, Tableau, Zoom, and TouroOne.
