Job Title: Associate Civil Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Associate Civil Engineer to join our team in California. As a key member of our water practice, you will have the opportunity to work on challenging projects that impact waste/water treatment facilities.

Job Summary:

Under general supervision, you will perform various technical tasks in support of a project, including drawings, specifications, and other materials suitable for procurement and construction purposes. You will also be responsible for logging, copying, and processing project documents, maintaining established files, and scanning documents for electronic storage.

Responsibilities:
  • Complete a variety of assignments such as drawings, specifications, and other materials suitable for procurement and construction purposes, utilizing CAE/CAD as applicable
  • Log (either manually or electronically), copy, and process and distribute various project and/or engineering documents such as RFI, Submittals and Transmittals
  • Maintain established files for project document retention
  • Scan documents for electronic storage
  • Log (either manually or electronically) and route interdisciplinary checks and supplier data
  • Become familiar with the requisition process for assigned project, including preparation and approval
  • Prepare standard engineering computations, material quality takeoffs, estimates, surveys, and designs
  • Assist in project closeout activities, as needed
  • Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or a related field
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certificate preferred but not required
  • Working knowledge of CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering preferred but not required
