Position: Ammonia Refrigeration Service Technician
We are seeking a skilled technician with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in ammonia refrigeration systems. CARO or CIRO certification is advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct maintenance and repairs on industrial ammonia refrigeration systems while ensuring exceptional customer service.
- Perform both routine and emergency repair services on ammonia refrigeration equipment, including compressors and electrical systems.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations during work activities.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing ammonia refrigeration, mechanical, and electrical systems.
- Strong knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems, electrical systems, and micro compressor controls.
- Experience with screw compressors and electrical troubleshooting of various ammonia refrigeration systems.
- Comprehensive understanding of safety practices related to tools and work environments.
- Ability to interpret manuals, documents, and technical drawings related to ammonia refrigeration.
- Capable of working independently or with minimal supervision.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in ammonia refrigeration.
- Possession of CARO or CIRO Certification is a plus.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Physically fit to climb ladders, work at heights, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% as needed.
- Availability for on-call duties during nights and weekends as required.
- Basic computer skills for documentation purposes.
Compensation:
The hourly wage for this position ranges from $45 to $60, commensurate with experience. This role is classified as non-exempt and is eligible for overtime pay.
