Personal Financial Counselor, Assignment Ready Counselor

This position provides coverage in short-term, surge, and on-demand situations resulting from military needs. The primary responsibilities include delivering personal financial counseling services to military service members and their families at military installations.
Key Responsibilities- Provide one-on-one counseling and consultation services to military personnel and their families.
- Develop and deliver educational briefings and presentations on personal financial management.
- Offer referral resources to participants outside of counseling sessions.
- Work closely with installation and military branch Points of Contact to ensure program delivery within scope and meeting installation needs.
- Manage duty-to-warn situations according to Department of Defense protocol.
- Participate in regular supervision, sharing information on trends and issues on assigned installations.
- Engage in regular in-services, quality improvement committees, and other contract activities as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 3+ years of financial counseling experience.
- Must be a U.S. citizen and speak fluent English.
- May be required to work outside traditional office hours to support business needs.
- Be able to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation.
- Hold one of the following certifications: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).
