Key Responsibilities:
  • Sort and Process Merchandise: Sort product efficiently and properly according to The Salvation Army's standards, ensuring that all items are accurately categorized and priced.
  • Quality Assurance: Inspect products for defects and damages, identifying any issues that may impact customer satisfaction.
  • Product Identification and Processing: Correctly identify product and direct it to the proper department for processing, ensuring seamless inventory management.
  • Inventory Management: Collect merchandise from the distribution center and safely transport materials, maintaining a high level of organization and efficiency.
  • Adhere to Safety Protocols: Follow established safety measures and government regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Confidentiality: Maintain confidentiality as needed and required for the operation of the total program.
Requirements:
  • Education: High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Skills and Abilities: Demonstrated competency in skill area, ability to read and write, and understand and follow both written and verbal instructions.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis, as well as lift up to 75 lbs.
