We are seeking a highly skilled Academic Advisor to join our team at Kennesaw State University. As an Academic Advisor, you will play a critical role in supporting the academic success of our students.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality academic advising services to current and prospective students, including developing multi-semester degree plans and connecting students with academic and non-academic resources.
- Assess and advise students regarding information, procedures, and academic requirements of specific programs or majors.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure students receive comprehensive support and guidance.
- Monitor and document student retention, progression, and graduation rates, and develop proactive outreach strategies to support student success.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education.
- One year of experience in a student success or support-related role.
- Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem-solving, independent judgment, organization, communication, time management, project management, and presentation skills.
- Experience in a higher education setting.
- Demonstrated commitment to academic advising as a key component of student success.
- Advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field.
