Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our team at Peraton. As a Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex systems and infrastructure to support our national security missions.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:
  • Designing and implementing virtualized environments using VMware technologies.
  • Managing and configuring Microsoft server operating systems, including Windows Server and Active Directory.
  • Providing system administration support for our IT infrastructure, including network services, DNS, DHCP, and VDI environments.
  • Developing and implementing security measures to protect against unauthorized access and data breaches.
  • Applying STIGs to IT systems and documenting results.
  • Reviewing STIG checklists developed by others for accuracy and completeness.
  • Developing RMF security policy and procedures documents.

Qualifications

Required qualifications include:
  • 2 years of experience with a BS/BA; 0 years with MS/MA; 6 years with no degree.
  • TS/SCI clearance.
  • 8140/8570 IAT Level III certification.
  • Strong knowledge of server hardware, storage, and networking concepts in virtualized environments.
  • Experience with designing and implementing VMware virtual infrastructure solutions, including scalability and high availability considerations.
  • Experience with standing up ESXi hosts, various versions, AD integrations, time, and DNS services.
  • Experience in the administration of Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft databases.

Desired Qualifications

Desired qualifications include:
  • VMware certifications (such as VCP, VCAP, VCIX).
  • MCSE certification or other Microsoft certifications.
  • Cisco certifications.
  • Experience with system administration and network administration.
  • Experience with Linux.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell and other scripting languages.
  • Knowledge of network and host hardening.
  • Knowledge of Splunk and Trellix and Tenable security and vulnerability products.

Target Salary Range

$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
