Job Title: Controls Engineer

Midway Products Group is seeking a highly skilled Controls Engineer to join our team in North Vernon, IN.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a talented Controls Engineer to design, develop, and implement control systems for our manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or mechatronic engineering, and experience with PLC programming, automation, and control systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop control systems for production machinery, assembly equipment, and facility systems.
  • Ensure safe operation of all equipment and improve hard wiring and programming to support manufacturing metrics.
  • Support maintenance members on emergency downtime situations and participate in training of maintenance personnel.
  • Implement process improvements consistent with MPG machine build standards.
  • Lead launch activities related to new product implementation and engineering change requests.
  • Investigate PLC program logic and identify opportunities for cost reduction, throughput, cycle time, and efficiency continuous improvement.
  • Support production to produce quality parts that meet/exceed customer expectations through continuous improvement.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, or related field.
  • 2 years of experience in Controls Engineering or related field.
Preferred Skills:
  • PLC programming experience.
  • Automation and control systems experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft, Studio 5000, RS Linx, C-more EA 9, COHERIX, Power Flex, Panel View, Bosch 6000, IPG Laser Net, RLSK Studio.
