Job Summary

CHS Inc. is seeking a skilled professional to join our team in Elkton, SD. As a key member of our agronomy operations team, you will be responsible for delivering and applying custom fertilizer and crop protection solutions to farmers in eastern SD. This role requires a Class A CDL and a strong ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a Class A CDL vehicle to haul agronomy, grain, and feed products to customers in eastern SD.
  • Apply fertilizer and crop protection products to crops using a high-clearance sprayer or floater.
  • Assist in daily operations of the grain elevator, including driving a loader, forklift, and performing maintenance tasks.
  • Provide excellent customer service to farmers and other stakeholders, responding to their needs and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations, including pre-trip and post-trip reporting, proper load securement, and hours of service.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of vehicles and work areas, and perform daily maintenance inspections to ensure equipment is in good working order.
Requirements
  • 1+ years of experience in agriculture production, operations, and/or agriculture application.
  • Must meet minimum age requirement.
  • Maintain or be able to obtain a CDL and DOT medical card.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
  • Ability to work additional hours, be available for overnight stays, and occasional weekends to meet business demands.
