Overview

The York Traffic Department is seeking to fill the role of Dispatcher Administrator. This position may require working during overtime and on holidays.

Work schedules are available in two options: Option 1: A 4-day work week from Sunday to Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 9 AM to 7 PM, with occasional overtime. Option 2: A 3-day work week consisting of 12-hour shifts and one 4-hour shift.

The hours for this option are Sunday, Thursday, and Friday from 9 AM to 9 PM, and Saturday from 7 AM to 11 AM, with potential overtime. Days off will be Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee warehouse loading schedules to ensure timely dispatch.
  • Track and monitor DOT Hours of Service for drivers to ensure compliance.
  • Utilize systems to update and manage ongoing trips as necessary, reassigning drivers to priority trips when required.
  • Communicate with local carriers regarding trips and maintain the Carrier Log for invoicing and payment reconciliation.
  • Handle driver call-ins for breakdowns and assist in executing action plans.
  • Check in company fleet and contract drivers and their equipment in our systems.
  • Maintain fleet inventory through our red-tagged process.
  • Support random drug screening initiatives.
  • Facilitate post-accident safety processes and ensure follow-up completion.
  • Generate, review, and correct driver logs with drivers, providing outcomes to management for reporting and accountability.
  • Occasionally assist with additional duties, including support at the contract carrier desk and dispatch scheduling.
  • Engage in planning and organizing traffic-related functions, recognition events, and banquets.
  • Perform other assigned duties as necessary.
  • Work overtime as required.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • The anticipated salary range for this position is between $37,000 and $58,950.
  • Actual starting salary will be determined based on location, relevant skills, and experience.
  • Paid time off is available based on eligibility, including parental leave, vacation, sick leave, and bereavement.
  • In addition to salary, PepsiCo provides a comprehensive benefits package to support employees and their families, subject to eligibility: Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Health, and Dependent Care Reimbursement Accounts, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Insurance (Accident, Group Legal, Life), and a Defined Contribution Retirement Plan.

  • Proficient in Excel and Word, as well as web-based computer systems.
  • Ability to work independently and adhere to strict deadlines.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
