Job Summary

Abbott is a global healthcare leader seeking a seasoned Area Finance Manager to join our Commercial team in Austin, Texas. This role will provide primary financial support for the One Area Vice President and associated Regional Sales Managers within the US Cardiac Rhythm Management organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Area and Key Account P&Ls, including Sales, Gross Margin, and SG&A.
  • Partner with commercial, marketing, finance, and supply chain teams to prepare forecasts, analytics, and financial presentations for executive meetings.
  • Oversee monthly financial closing activities and prepare financial modeling and ad hoc analysis.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the market, accounts, products, and business strategy with Area Commercial leadership.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in financial and variance analysis, forecasting, planning, and financial modeling.
  • Seasoned judgment acquired through organizational experience in sales metrics analyses, financial planning, and analysis, and working with senior leadership.
  • Previous experience working with MS Office Suite and financial planning applications.
  • Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and engage others to accomplish projects in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in financial and variance analysis, forecasting, planning, and financial modeling.
  • Medical device experience.
  • Experience with Power BI, SAP, and Salesforce.
