Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Vascular Access Nurse Specialist to join our team at Greenwood County Hospital Board. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care.

Salary Information

The estimated annual salary for this position is $85,000 - $110,000, depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Responsibilities

As a Vascular Access Nurse Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • PICC/Midline Device Placement: You will be responsible for the placement of Peripherally Inserted Central Catheters (PICCs) and Midline devices in patients.
  • Critical Thinking and Assessment: You will utilize high-level clinical communication skills to assess patients' vascular access needs and select the most appropriate device.

You will also be expected to maintain and improve your knowledge level related to vascular access through seminars, magazines, and books.

Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A valid South Carolina RN license
  • A BSN degree (preferably)
  • Valid PICC/Midline Credentials & Competencies
  • Valid BLS certification
  • High-level skills in critical thinking and assessment related to vascular access device selection
  • Excellent clinical communication skills with physicians and other clinical staff
