PRIMARY PURPOSE:

Housby Mack, Inc. is seeking a skilled Vehicle Body Repair Specialist to become a vital part of our team. This role is chiefly accountable for restoring damaged truck bodies and replacing components in line with dealership standards and time expectations. FOCUS:
  • Key responsibilities include the following; additional tasks may be assigned.
  • Communicate necessary products and materials to management.
  • Wet, sand, and polish various metals and fiberglass.
  • Sand, wash, and prepare equipment and truck components as needed.
  • Shape, straighten, and mend metal parts.
  • Repair fiberglass components.
  • Remove and replace damaged parts.
  • Apply decals, stencils, and rustproofing as required.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of your designated workspace and equipment, which may involve preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Adhere to the company's safety regulations and policies.
  • Uphold a professional demeanor at all times.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
  • Experience in removing and replacing parts.
  • Ability to accurately tape off a vehicle for refinishing.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a Body and/or Paint Shop, preferably with heavy-duty vehicles and/or equipment.
  • Experience in sanding and scraping is preferred.
  • Must embody and adhere to Housby's Core Values.
EDUCATION:
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Willingness to pursue further education as directed is a plus.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Safety glasses and safety shoes are mandatory at all times.
  • Respirator is required during painting and paint preparation.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequent standing, walking, moving, climbing, carrying, bending, kneeling, crawling, reaching, handling, pushing, and pulling.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Must possess or have access to air and hand tools for the position.
  • The work environment for this role is diverse due to the varying nature of our work sites. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic substances, and outdoor weather conditions.
  • Work occurs indoors and occasionally outdoors.
  • Noise levels typically range from moderate to very loud.
  • Some weekend and evening hours may be necessary.
