Senior Clean Technologies Analyst

•Conduct comprehensive research and development on Clean Technologies initiatives, including hydrogen, geothermal, and renewable natural gas, alongside other decarbonization strategies such as integrated gas and electric planning. This research may encompass evaluating existing regulations and formulating new policies to bolster the Company's decarbonization goals, collaborating with industry coalitions, clean energy entities, and research organizations. The development process may involve delivering financial, customer, and statistical data analyses to support various business cases. Monitor and assess Clean Technologies initiatives and metrics, including data from clean energy pilot programs. Analytical tasks may range from highly structured based on prior analyses to entirely novel, necessitating significant research, initiative, and collaborative skills for success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement reports, dashboards, and other analytical tools for the Clean Technologies division.
- Provide essential support and project coordination with organizational partners, including Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Operations, Clean Technologies, Regulatory Affairs, Environmental Affairs, and others.
- Utilize internal platforms, such as Salesforce and other tools, to generate reports with actionable insights.
- Facilitate the planning and tracking of research, analysis, communications, and presentations related to the Company's Clean Technologies initiatives.
- Engage in, support, and monitor multi-disciplinary internal processes and external regulatory and collaborative frameworks.
- Collaborate with Eversource counterparts across regions to ensure consistency and best practices are upheld in all endeavors.
- Work with diverse stakeholder groups to achieve regulatory and financial performance and project development outcomes aligned with Eversource's priorities.
- Develop new tools, oversee processes, and assist the Manager in process enhancement initiatives for the Clean Technologies division.
- Support reporting and research requirements within the Clean Technologies division as necessary.
- Provide end-user training and support on any clean technologies-related platforms to the Clean Technologies team and potentially other internal audiences, as applicable.
Technical Knowledge/Skills:
- Exceptional presentation skills for technical, statistical, and financial content.
- Understanding of the regulatory landscape, preferably with experience in the regulatory filing process.
- Familiarity with financial, statistical, or operations research modeling techniques.
- Strong communication, writing, and presentation abilities.
- Proficient in spreadsheet and database applications, including Excel and Power Business Intelligence.
- Knowledge of gas distribution systems and renewable energy sources.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Statistics, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Five (5) to eight (8) years of experience in financial and statistical modeling, market research, operations research, or policy analysis.
- Experience with energy systems and/or decarbonization initiatives.
- Valid driver's license.
- Eversource offers a competitive total rewards program. The annual salary range for this position is $99,000 to $110,000, plus incentives. Salary is commensurate with experience.
- Availability for emergency restoration assignments as required.
- Willingness to travel as necessary.
- Role involves consulting, analyzing, planning, coordinating, and implementing.
- This position operates in an environment that often requires managing multiple simultaneous activities with deadlines, necessitating performance under pressure while involving significant business commitments and outcomes.
